Yuka Fukae is one of the most hopeful chanteuses in Japan. She has been singing chansons since she was a law student at prestigious "Keio University". After she graduated there, she took an active part as regular chanteuse in "Ginpari", a famous chansons bar of long standing,in Tokyo at that time. 　She has sung more than 200 pieces of chanson music and especially likes to sing the works of Léo Ferré,Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf. 　She likes to sing poetic works of hight literary valuve, such as those by Louis Aragon,Guillaume Apollinaire and Jacques Prévert, etc. and perform songs doing her own Japanese translation which is faithful to the original. 　Her songs, elegantly colored, with an intellectual eroticism,has a number of fans professors,company executives,etc. 　She lives in Kamakura, one of the ancient cities of Japan, and is making chansons popular through the holding of "Paris-Kamakura meetings". She enjoys performing concerts for specisl guests, which she does three times per year. 　In addition to these activities as a singer, she has also been working as an instructor of "chansons"lessons. 　Without a doubt, Yuka Fukae is a charming singer.
